System Administrator - UNIX/LINUX

• Location: San Diego, California
• Compensation: $85,000 - $120,000 annually,

Responsibilities:

• installation and configuration services based on the Linux/Unix systems,
• solving problems on the servers,
• create scripts to automate operations,
• practical guiding the development of server infrastructure,
• monitoring of the servers,

Expectations:

• minimum 4+ years related experience,
• good communication skills, written and verbal; ability to handle multiple projects,
• very good knowledge of Linux (including eg Debian),
• good knowledge of FreeBSD (welcome knowledge of Apple OS X Server),
• configuration of web servers: Apache2,
• configuration of mail servers: Postfix (including various applications such as extending the capabilities Postfix: spamassassin, amavis, etc),
• configuration server: ProFTPD, BIND,
• configuration and optimization of database servers: MySQL, PostgreSQL,
• very good knowledge of one of scripting languages: bash, perl, ruby,
• knowledge of techniques for securing servers and services,
• network configuration, routing,
• automate backup processes,
• strong motivation to work, honesty, curiosity, accuracy, and excellent organization of work,
